Formed in 1968, Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Services assists low-income residents in a four-county area. Offices are located in Washington, Greene, Fayette and Somerset Counties. SWPLS also operates an office part-time in Donora to serve residents of the Mon Valley. Our lawyers represent clients in family, housing, consumer and income-benefit cases falling within the program’s established priorities. Clients are eligible if they meet income and asset criteria, except for victims of domestic violence who are accepted without regard to economic status. Services are provided free of charge to clients.
