Neighborhood Legal
Services Association

Incorporated in 1966, Neighborhood Legal Services Association serves a four-county 2,314 square mile area in which 182,505 residents live in poverty. Based on limited assets and income, these residents are eligible for NLSA services if their legal problems fall within program priorities. There are no asset criteria for elderly clients or for victims of domestic violence seeking help under the Protection from Abuse Act.

Each year, NLSA assists thousands of people requesting protection from domestic violence, predatory lending, consumer fraud and other abuses or help with disputes involving child custody, housing, public benefits and other civil legal matters. Offices in our service area are located in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler and Lawrence Counties.
